Tuesday
18:45 (Club: Guys Cliffe Avenue) - Tempo Tuesday: A speed session designed to help you get faster by training your body to become more efficient and more comfortable running at an increased speed. It’s demanding and mentally tough, but very effective. You’ll run 9 – 11 miles in total: 3m warm up together, an individual 4, 5 or 6m tempo run, then a 2m group cool down back to the club. Your tempo run should be at a “comfortably hard” (8.5 out of 10 effort or ‘3 – 4 word answer’) sustainable pace. Not for the faint hearted!: This is a HARD session suited to faster runners who can run tempo at a minimum of 8 min/mile (sub 1:45 half marathon).
Or beginner tempo: starting with cruise intervals at tempo pace with an active recovery building up to 4 or 5 miles continuous over a 6-8 week period. Suitable for all.
Wednesday
Variable speedwork training session. (Club: Guys Cliffe Avenue) 19:00. Sessions include circuits, offroad headtorch run, hill repeats, fartleks. Check the app for details
Steady 5k, check the app for details
Thursday
18:30 Edmonscote Track - Track session of various intervals, total distance 5-8k. Starting with warm-up and dynamic stretches then a choice of speed/recovery reps. Suitable for all standards of runner – a great way to introduce speed work & train your body to run faster! Track entry fee £3.00 payable via the app. Meet by the steps at the track’s finish line.
Friday
Six at Six - 6pm (Club: Guys Cliffe Avenue) - A sociable hour’s steady run of around 6 miles (or thereabouts). Suitable for anyone that can run at a minimum 9 min/mile pace or 10 min/mile pace. A great way to kick start your weekend!
Saturday
No set club session though often members will pre-arrange LSRs from 10-20+ miles. Or, Leamington parkrun at 9am, Newbold Commyn
