Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

PamB
Wow -- well this was WET!

It was my first 10 mile, and I'd got past this distance in training, but that didn't stop some pre race collywobbles.
Anyway, it went pretty well, with very consistent pace (10.20), slight negative split, but pretty even really (51.30 at 5 miles).
Nice course, cheerful competitors, good marshalling (although not a lot of them for large parts of the course), drink stations as promised, and they even managed to get a few roads shut for us.
Gasheader
hope I can get close to my best on a flat course.....
Wet Wet Wet but not to cold once got going . Started with a sizzling 6:47 first mile 2 in 6:49 and 3in 6:54 all going terrific 34mins 24secs at 5 , The second 5 fell away and ended in 1hr11m41sec. Happy with this time moving in right direction . finished 199/606.

Vey pleased with my time, must get back into training now!!
Northern Exile
Very wet and cold day, just fortunate that the wind held off. Terrible start (that probably cost me) and faded a bit 6 - 8 miles, but came back in the final two - probably because I was chasing a mate from work!
TooLilac
Definitely the wetest race I've ever run - thank goodness for my stylish bin bag. Really enjoyed the 2nd half, although suffered with a stitch from mile 6-7. Had no idea where with finish was, turned out it was tucked away in the grandstand. the whole experience really made me appreciate my post race snickers bar !
CD
Wet wet wet. Hard work in the rain. Nice location for a race.
Darlo
Slowed down in middle of race couldnt make up lost time. The start was dreadful
Lisrun
Not done this one before, but it should be good. *Update* Very wet, but the course was very flat and there was no wind. This was my third fastest 10m time, so I am very happy with that. Good to meet a few other Fetchies.
tooslow
plus 35 secs to cross start line - generally happy with run- took fairly steady after run on fri - managed to keep constant pace until mile 7 (must have eased up) - wet and cold conditions so wore waterproof top (what a wimp) spits 7.51 7.51 7.49 7.55 7.45 7.58 8.47(?) 7.53 8.21 7.52
Oven Gloves
What a difference a day makes, and what a bigger difference a fortnight makes. Weather was a bit wet and horrible but 9 minutes faster than Brampton 2 weeks ago!!
Heavy treader
Brilliant race, managed to crack the seven minute barrier, nice and flat a definate PB course!!!!
madaddo
Told Roger to not go off so quickly this week, and he didn't. Guess what - he beat me! (And comfortably, as well - well done, Roger!)
