Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I don't see how PCC's can be any less party political than the rest of our governmental landscape. Their key role is setting priorities for their police force, and that is a political decision. If I recall correctly they replaced police authorities, which were committees of councillors whose membership reflected the party political makeup of the county (or appropriate other) council.

The fact that my phone keyboard has randomly updated to move the comma from the main typing page and replace it with a question mark, meaning I have to go into a second screen to get to the comma which I use much more frequently than a question mark! This statement is a testament to that.

[Question everything?]

My work phone grinds my gears in a similar way, as all punctuation is behind a second screen. Android beating Apple for usability as usual...

Trying to work while having endless drilling and dog barking next door. Last summer, we could hardly go in the garden because hammering and dust caused by external work being done by the same neighbours.

If it was essential, maybe. But it's just them poncing the house up yet they still leave bags of dog poo and nappies in their garden for the foxes to take apart.

Those spam Facebook posts that are a list of names preceded by THESE WOMEN WILL HAVE TRIPLETS IN 2021 or THESE MEN ARE THE BEST HUSBANDS. And intelligent people I know posting, "Ooooh, me me me me me, I'm in there, haha," or tagging other people. And wondering if shaking the algorithm up would result in me getting a list of common Muslim or Germanic names instead of common white British Millennial names.

Someone asking me directions from their car window as I'm walking out of a Travelodge.....

I mean, doesn't that suggest I'm not local to the area???
