Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The grateful just to finish a marathon thread

Last long run done today at Ashby 20. Treated it as a training run so quite a relaxed pace. Target was sub 4:30 with a ‘nice to have’ of 4:20 so I was really pleased with an official time of 4:15:46 (course measured 20.10 miles on my Garmin). Looking forward to the Great Welsh in 3 weeks time and a sub 6 hour marathon.

The medal says 2020 on it because the race has been cancelled for the last two years!

I ran 4.06 at Ashby. So do I stick with the half marathon at Boston or trade up to the full? Ideally I’d like to be round in about 5 1/2 hours. Any suggestions from people who know what they are doing would be gratefully received!

About This Thread

Maintained by minardi
We've all seen the sub 3hr, sub 4hr, sub 4.30hr threads and looked on in awe. I'm now at the age when I'm happy just to see the finish line, regardless of time taken.

So this is a thread to celebrate the finish line, not the finish time.

All welcome!
