Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I need new x-country spikes, my Nike Zoom Waffle has a bent spike in it which has torn the sole :(

I remember Gobi and Rach saying the Nike Zoom Waffle wasn't great and was damaged easily.

I have the New Balance RX507.

Fell shoes for XC seem to work well.

Yeah. I agree. I bought some spikes and I've only used them on the blummin' ice. Not felt the need for our XCs.

I would recommend Mizuno Wave Kaze XC spikes, very comfy, and are a better fit and have more substance to them than my old Asics Hyper XC spike.

Always ran x-countries in trail or fell shoes, when I asked for advice about spikes and if they are worth buying for only 5 or 6 runs a year. fellow clubmates were split. Some said they are brill, some said fell does exactly the same. Ran first two south yorkshire in fell,

Skipped third.

Just after xmas i bought some NB xc240s for £19.99 from JJB. I have ran in two xc events in last two weekends in spikes.

The spikes make a right difference. Love Them. Wouldn't have run as well in fell shoes. No slipping on turns & the hills. SPIKES RULE XC
