Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Obvs I mean venture but clearly autocorrect thinks I've been watching Jim Carrey films.

Relays at Mansfield for me today. Only 3k for women, great fun, very dry. Ran okay. Thought a little more might be there but just didn't quite click today. Still 25secs faster than last year so not too bad.

2 XC races next weekend 😳

First League race for me today at Shipley Park. Missed the announcement that they'd had to shorten the course by about a mile, so that was a nice surprise (4.6ish miles)! Officially retired from XC after 22/23 season, but missed the camaraderie and mud, so I'm back πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

What league is that then @stilldreaming?

It's funny how that park gets used for so many different XC races πŸ˜‚

First race of the season. Went over on my ankle on a downhill after 2km. It was the ankle it’s injured a couple of months ago at kids sports day when I hit a (very small) hurdle. Briefly tried to run it off, but it was soon apparent that wasn’t going to work, so a DNF.

Just been helping set out the course for Maccl today. Dry ground should be fast day, nobblies not spikes for me later. I didn't go out into or through the woods but can't imagine it being bad, even in the usual trouble spots.

Thanks for the head's up @rhb, and hopefully see you there. I'm always a little sad when XC is firm and dry underfoot, but it's always a welcome change to running on pavement.
