XC starts on Sunday for us with the Sunday league. Rained constantly for 4 days here so will be nice and muddy hopefully 😂

Nice, enjoy! Another month for us, first Sunday of the month for 5 fixtures starting in November. An annoying season for me last year. I've always felt I under performed in XC, but had a bit of a breakthrough performmance in the 2nd race last season. And then I picked up injury. |

Nice outing at Shipley. Ran better than last year, but my back is niggly and I slipped on an odd camber at 3k which really tightened me up for the rest of the race. Fitness is there but not quite reachable yet, but nevermind just need to manage it over the coming weeks. A lot better than the nationals though.

First Kent Cross Country League match of the season yesterday afternoon, showers of drizzle or light rain throughout the day but this became torrential rain during the men's race, only the first 20 or so missed it. The run off from a burst pipe had also turned a short length at the end of each lap into a bit of a bog... which was nice! |

Kent Cross Country League, Match #2 - Tonbridge Went out pretty hard and just tried to hang on for as long as possible. Worked hard throughout the first lap before dropping a few places on the second lap, battled to the finish and very pleased with 66th overall, 5th M50 (2nd M55), 8th scorer out of 12 and 32:14. On to a very different course at Danson Park on the 9th of November. |

Yes as per university of Manchester. I was at the relays today, very good, nice day for it. Mens and mixed 6 per team, women 3, UoM put 10 teams out, ex students 3 maybe 4. Birmingham Uni brought 150 along. Plenty from Leeds, York, Nottingham etc, decent teams from Sale and Salford, plus a few other ubs. As for the centenary, apparently 180 have signed up for the dinner next March. |

Dared to Ventura back out to xc today in the low key North West Sunday League. Really enjoyed it, nothing to write home about in terms of placing, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Will try to do more!
