Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm hoping to do the last one at Denbies Wine estate, but unfortunately have Wokingham half the day after...so a spot for Wokingham might come free as my legs probably won't fancy going 13 miles after 8k the day before!

I need to see if I can do Denbies - the other problem with Surrey League is the different venues for different sexes. No good for running couples :p

We had about 30 runners at the last league fixture. I think the champs get less turning out though.

One a month is probably about right for me in winter training.

Denbies should be ok - the men's race is in Coulsdon 3 hours later. It will probably take about half an hour between the two :)

That's really odd having the mens & womens in different places! Ours all run from the same place. We cheer on the men, then they can cheer us on.

One of our leagues has men and ladies in the same place, the other league has everyone at fixture #1 and then we go to where one of the 3 men's divisions is so we get to be with our guys at one more fixture. I like being able to cheer them on and having them there yelling at us.

Our fixtures are on a Saturday, which I quite like. It does mean with 2 leagues there are literally about 2 Saturdays between Oct-Xmas when I've not got an XC race. I've managed to do every one including XC relays and Champs this season and I feel like a better XC runner for it.

I know of some leagues where the men and ladies run in the same race, just going in to separate funnels at the end. And they are on a Sunday. How uncivilised! :)
