Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'll let you know how longer races (10K plus) and/or longer training runs at pace e.g. MP runs and tempos go in Dec / Jan to see if I think 1:25 is on for Feb / Mar?! :-) G

Looking at the sub 1:30 HM thread prompted me to look in here. How's the late Autumn/early Winter optimism shaping up guys and gals?

I'm quite liking my targets from a few pages (and about 3 months ago). Still planning on giving the 1:20 a crack at the end of March, and basing marathon targets on that!

I am doing a half on sunday but target is around 86. I have 2 ore lined up on 4/2 and 18/3 and depending on how tomorrow goes at least one of the other 2 will be a sub 85 attempt - hopefully a PB

I’m also hoping to be in the region of 1:20 if conditions are good, Blackpool and wilmslow HMs. 1:23 last year at Blackpool on a good day but it’s very exposed and usually windy.

Mind you my recent 10k PB pace is 1:21 for a half so I’ve got to go some from here :-)

Baz, you're nailing the JD training sessions now, appreciate this one isn't a goal race but reckon you're coming into form at just the right time!
JDA, likewise I reckon your 10k PB is in for some serious revision, you've really upped the mileage lately and you seem to hold pace really well as you move up distances (I don't).

I know HappyG and WW are both struggling with injuries - sending positive thoughts to you both, Uyuni is planning on using his HM on Sunday as the middle of a long run, anyone else going for 1:25 or better any time soon?

I was originally hoping to have a crack at 1:25 next weekend but I'm way off at the moment. Plan B is Liverpool in 6 weeks time, if i can get a decent month of consistent training in.

Not a goal I'm anywhere near at the mo, but I was coming back towards it at end of 2017, so could be achievable again in future? :-) G
