Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I find it much harder to do a 100 mile training week than it is to do a 100 mile race. Max training weeks for me are about 75 miles. With a race, you just head out and stop when you are done plus you donโ€™t have to fit around work/life etc

Nice to hear :)

I've only done one 100mile race so can't speak as for trends of how easy they are (though I've had low points in almost all ultras I've done) but I've never done a 100mile training week. I think the most was 80miles and that included a 40mile training run for said 100m race. Loading your body day after day is not easy. I noted there was an elite marathon runner a couple of weeks ago who was talking about his training hitting 170miles! I couldn't even start to get my head round it.

Finally back ahead of 2019. Still 200 - 300 behind any of the previous 3 years though.

183 miles ahead of last year very happy with that. Ahead of every year apart from 2020. Need to run 253 miles in December to beet 2020 so not going to happen but hopefully get over 2000 miles.

I need 31km to surpass my highest ever annual distance. Should have that cracked by Sunday. I'm 730km ahead of 2022.
