Long run, started out fab (but breezy). 6 miles in, got caught in a massive rain storm (horizontal !) in open country with nowhere to shelter, soaked to the skin within minutes, but had to keep going. Sore calf

My first rest after six days straight - not quite so impressive, but I normally only do five. Felt tired running yesterday, but probably more psychological than anything - knowing it was day six.

Ran the furthest I've ever run in one go, this morning - 12.5km! Could probably have gone a bit further, but thought it best not to add too much mileage at a time. Started about 9am and had a run along the canal before turning back. Felt good until about 8km when it became clear I needed to scoff a few of my jelly babies. Felt OK after that again. Legs feeling very heavy by the end and some aching down the outside of my thighs (around my hips), but the muscle ache has passed off now (I'm sure it will reappear tomorrow though!).
