Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How was your run today?

I rarely...alrigh never...contributed to this thread before, but today I felt complelled. Ran only 5.2 miles, but through 2 feet of snow, with more falling. I live along the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, USA, and we have been in a full blizzard since Friday. Very challenging run. I have my Peral Izumi shoes with Goretex uppers to keep the moisture out, but in snow that deep, nothing keeps your feet dry. Just lifting my knees high enough to take the next step was difficult. Every minute or two, a squall would make it impossible to see. Must say it was great fun.

Crikey SF, seems weird reading about conditions like that when I look out of the window and see a lovely sunny day with squirrels playing in the garden and birds building their nests...

Today I did a 5 mile fell run. Two Towels and Kaza were there too - nice to see them. Only me and TT took part though. I was pleased with the result (as yet unnofficial) of 40:38 for 5 miles and 900 feet of climb. Oh yes, it was a little challenging in places but STILL not as hard as your run Frank :-)

Wow Frank, that sounds surreal as we bask in glorious sunshine. In fact it was so glorious I have been for a 9 mile bike ride today when it should have been a rest day after yesterday's 9.5 mile run.

Ian, I am a bit envious of those who are actually enjoying spring, but it will eventually arrive here I am sure. In the mean time, I'll slog along.
