8 miles up the Taff Trail to Castell Coch - through the dappled undergrowth, splashy puddles, weaving through families and cyclists. Late afternoon sun glinting on the river, swollen from recent rain (the river, not the sun).... yeah, my run was ok!

Calf is better than yesterday thanks RT. Feels tight & hurts when I flex foot. Desperately hope it is better for next XC 10/12. Went out on the bike.1st time I've been on it since injured calf at Yarmouth. Hard work. Def not bike fit!

Castell Nedd is Neath - Castell Coch is a big fairytale castle you can see from the M4 outside Cardiff

oh I've not noticed that, i must be too busy looking for macarthur glen!, all a beautiful part of the world though, wish I lived there. good luck BM, heard it said that cycling is very good as a cross training tool ( mind i cycle to work most days and I'm not sure if it helps or not).

Really slow and a bit dodgy. Helped future brother and sister in law sample 7 bottles of champagne last night (there were 5 of us!) and then risked a bacon sarnie this morning at 10.30 - not the best decision I've made! My stomach has just spent 40 minutes slagging me off!

I marsalled at the Sandhurst Joggers X country race today as my physio screamed "you're not running that" when I said I might run it! Just returned from a gentle 3 mile run on the tarmac - not as much as fun as getting covered in mud but an achievement nevertheless!! Looking forward to Tuesday when I can attempt 3.5 miles.......

RT dont be despondant you did 15 miles despite your tummy, and you did it first thing when you normally run in the evening, (low fuel and all that)
in 2 days you will really have benefitted from todays run

Did 5.5 miles for the first time ever. Had to walk once at 4.5 and HR was rubbish but it was quite good and I think I deserve to be very tired.
