Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ardderchog/great,
Hilly 6.3mile tempo run with EFFOrt up the HiLlS (climb to 1,100ft) - over 2 mins quicker than done the circuit before, but with plenty in the tank (really pleased to see progress). Fantastic view of sunset over the Carneddau, on way back down.

Did a running workshop today in Bath and it started off with a session with Julian Goater who was British cross country champion in the 70s, with a 5K PB of 13.15 and 27:34 for 10K. He has a website: feelgood-factors.com and is a UK level 4 coach. We did a classroom session then did a track pyramid session and he gave us feedback on our running technique, etc. I found it very useful and after some advice from him I am going to start training twice a day soon.

We also did an injury clinic session with a physiotherapist and a core strength/palates session with another coach who is level 3 (but has almost gained level 4). I would definitely recommend going to one of these if you get the chance, you will learn a lot. I am even thinking of getting a coach now too.

Dunno CW. Had a sudden onset wham of calf pain at 8miles in the Gt yarmouth Half in August. carried on but couldn't weight bear after I'd finished. Resolved with physio & rest. Been fine since until Tues when started hurting during 2nd of 5x 600m reps on tues. Finished set, iced & stretched & it was fine for 5k XC on Wed. Rested Thurs Fri then at the point of no return in Ickworth woods this morning couldn't weight bear again. Going to bike tomorrow & o/d on Voltarol gel but massage person not avilable till 7/12. Any tips other than hopping & patience? ( not big on patience)
