Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Quite tough, the early miles werre on good clear trails and roads, then half way round aaaaaaaauuuuuuuuggggggghhhhhhh FFS, grass, long, long, grass. Footpaths totally overgrown with brambles, having to beat through with a stick, next time I'm taking a machete, a petrol powered strimmer, & chainsaw. Stiles completely overgrown with nettles etc. Some farmers are brilliant with their land management, others are total twats.

The beauty of Sotuh Shropshire is that there is hardly any people about, but in turn that means that the footpaths don't get used and get overgrown. Oh well, the lord giveth and the lord taketh away. :-)

10k round about where my parents live with my OH for company. We got completely lost in housing estates repeatedly which resulted in one of my splits being 11:40mm LOL. Overall time 1:03 which considering how many times we got lost and it was my first run over 3 miles in 3 weeks, i'm happy with.

Friday and Saturday on the pop was a good idea at the time (hic!) but I needed Sunday off to recover. So punishing the body with a 15 mile LSR seemed like a good idea last night...in practise, it was hellish!

Yesterday's long run (20m) done today.

Aileen working south, so dropped me off in the depths of South Uist and I ran back.

Now showered and fed, but wobbling round the house trying to get it together!

4.94 miles in 40 mins yesterday. That's my first tempo run in about a month, I'm finally starting to believe this nasty virus is finally leaving my system, thank goodness.

Just over 8.3 miles again - going to round it up to 10 from now on as it's only another 1.7 miles or 12 mins and no real problem doing so.
2 runners out which beat yesterday's 1 (cool weather = no runners. Rain or heat = more runners)

Hoping for at least 40 miles this week - not as much as last weeks 53.47 but I l ws working over the weekend so lost out on a longish run day.
