Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great up to nine miles, then it felt like wading through treacle for the last 5!

Just 10 miles for me.
Some bits of ice about that were very hard to spot. Rather than the usual icy pavements, they seemed to be dry, a bit of water, dry, a foot of ice etc so no consistency. Managed to slip over on on one piece after the only car for miles decided he had to turn just before I crossed a road thus causing me to have to turn and I slipped (second time in 2 months the same thing has happened). Sore right hip with some bruising and scuffing but did manage to do the extra couple of miles or so!

Brilliant, took it easy to and from parkrun (its a 6 mile round trip and have a game of hockey later so wanted to save my energy). The parkrun itself I ran hard, and 99% confident I went sub 19 for the first time. Absolutely buzzing.

Nice 3 mile trot with GLW this morning. LSR tomorrow, so not pushing it - but good to be out with wifey who has not been running recently because of a slipped disc.

Harrogate Park Run - very cold but sunny - made the mud a little less treachorous - although the path sections were very slidy. Still, 21 seconds off last time so happy with that.

Cut back week so 9 miles ran. Started off OK then started to struggle after the half way mark. Stopped to buy a drink just before mile 7. Thought I'd try a bottle of Powerade. It does what it says on the bottle. Felt great, ran the last 2 miles to how I felt and ended up with a 10:02 and a 9.08 for the last 2 miles. Form was really good and my legs felt fantastic. Buzzing now :-)
