Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bitterly cold but that's fine as there was no windchill. Slippy ice hard to spot, but good brisk pace and enjoyed it.

Bloody cold and have come to the conclusion compression shorts with black tights does not provide enough weather proofing downstairs so pants are required for my run back into work in the morning........................ouch

Merry Christmas _andy Happy NewYear
One of my hardest runs of the year, despite being only five miles. Started off feeling tired and was tempted to turn back for much of the first half hour. Conditions were icy with deep, deep snow, so it was tough going all the way. Was soon making the only footsteps - deep holes in the snow. These made life difficult on the way back since on the flat and especially downhill, tiny steps were needed to use the same holes in the snow (far easier than trying to break a fresh trail) and then every uphill section was like doing strides, since I'd taken bigger steps on the outward leg. Clear skies were nice, as the yellow and lilac of the clear sky changed to pink and deep blue, and the moon got brighter and brighter.

Oh, and it was cold, but someone else mentioned that.

An hour on the treaddie and 8 miles done - sore ankle so couldn't risk the ice outside.
Dull, dull run . . . but now a glass of mulled wine awaits! :-) ;)
