MeLAR - now it makes sense! You were recovering from injury and I'm pleased to read that you're making good progress Doubt you'll be ready for this year's Coastal Run but there's always 2011.
geordiegirl - I first did the Northumberland Coastal Run in 1989 and was overwhelmed by the beauty of the surroundings. Last year, I ran again and was pleased how solid the sand was underfoot - the final 2 miles to Alnmouth always feel tougher because you've done 11 already. Highly recommended: I made a 300 mile + round trip to run it. Lovely, lazy, relaxed atmosphere in beer garden afterwards

discovered that running on just the right sort of snow is really comfy! After coming of the "tops" got told by someone I had ice in my hair, yep frozen sweat on the back of my head with 7 miles to go, but still grinning like a fool (specially with Bath winning yesterday.

Legs stiff off yesterday treadmill run, just back from a beautiful undisturbed snow filled walk on a local XC route. 2 miles of solitude, need to get a dog
