Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cor, my long run today pales into insignificance with you guys! Well done!
I had a lovely 8 and three quarter miles in the pouring rain through woods and up trails and on some nice roads. Build up for my second ever half marathon at the end of October!

Hendo
This is my report today from my training log - 14.3 miles this fair eve.

If this run was an episode of Friends it'd be called "The one where mother nature threw everything at Hendo". Basically there was wind. Not a breeze, not a few gusts, but WIND. Say it louder... WIND!! A real unbroken, shelter-free hoolie howling it's way down the solent and hitting me square on. It was hard work running downwind trying not to be blown over, so imagine head and side winds. So that wind then created rain, which actually hurt; lightning, which scared me; and perhaps most fun was dodging the crashing waves that were hitting the sea wall and soaking me. Didn't bother with checking HR as it would have been futile in that weather, just ran a sensible slow pace where not enforced! All in the name of running. We are truly a bonkers breed of individuals.

Reminds me of the time that the hail was coming down so hard I was pleased I had a laminated map with me that I ended up using it as an emergency cape!
