Happy Birthday Diva...I vaguely remember turning forty. I will turn 50 tomorrow, and am very happy about it. For one thing, I will finally stop being among the oldest in my age group at races. I plan to bring home some hardware now! I am looking for a trophy or two in the coming year.
Oh yes, this is the "How was your run today?" thread...hamstrings still very tight from American football on Monday, but getting back to normal. Five moderately easy miles, under ominous skies, with the feel of winter.

The feel of winter it is not. So warm but very windy. Rest day for me but have two lawns to mow so not much of a rest.

Nobody been running today ? Inspired by RW and the comments of fellow Fetchies I tried running my LSR using my HRM. Running at an average bpm of 147 equated to 8 miles in just over 90 minutes. I usually do this route in less than 75 minutes. I could not have been more bored if I watched the deluxe DVD box set of Sons and Daughters. Please tell me it gets better than this
On the plus side, I sweated like someone whose photo has just appeared on Crimewatch,so must have burned off a few calories I now feel as fresh as a daisy on a dew-filled spring morning. It was my first run with my Flashflo bumbag thing and it's great (and chafe-less)

rest day today danny
You have already mentioned one of the benefits of the hrm thing - the feeling fresh as a daisy part. More miles for less injury and exertion. It does get better, you will be able to run faster at the same effort in good time.

Still not running because of cold. However, last night on my way home from an expedition to Tesco to buy more medicine (red wine), I saw some people in running gear coming out of my favourite local pub. Think I might join the local running club after all.
