Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

at one point on a busy road there is sign that tells motorists their speed. since there was virtuallly no traffic today it registered me instead, told me i was going 9 mph and thanked me!
the rest was offroad, a few hills and great underfoot - the frost wasn't severe enough for ruts but stopped the mud being too squishy

Chilly at first but the superb trails through the dunes from Formby Point to Ainsdale soon sorted that out - as did the return leg down the beach, trying to get back to the car before the gates were locked. Made it :)

As I was less than happy with my performance in the Wymondham 10k this morning I decided to do the alternative session for those of our training group not racing as well this afternoon, although with shorter warm up and down and due to lack of light not on grass.

10 minutes warm up

5 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)

5 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery - 2 minutes jog after 5th effort)

4 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)

4 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery - 2 minutes jog after 4th effort)

3 minutes (2 minutes jog recovery)

3 x 60 seconds (20 seconds jog recovery)

5 minutes warm down

Went for a relaxing 4.5 miles before the Lumphanan Detox 10Km run tomorrow. The weather was cold and overcast but no rain so that was a bonus. It's forecast for sun and clear tomorrow on the BBC so I'm expecting the worst.

New Years day - Coventry 5 miler ran nicely in 45 minutes

Hopefully this will kick start a good year of running

A cold and crisp morning - but not skiddy or icey

A 3 lap 5 miler which I suppose 150 ran ??

It was perfect in every way, Road and paths - I only checked my watch at the end - just as a rough reference really - Had no intention of checking and racing for every mile time wise

It was just nice - super venue - super course and had a super run

Couldn’t have wished for better really - there was plenty of support - and it’s simply fantastic that the sport goes on all year round

We went around the course loops for a while after the race - so it was probably more like 10 miles or more ?

Very relaxed and satisfied
