My first run in just over 2 weeks, (had my tonsils out and exercise ban has just been lifted). Loved it, loved it, loved it. Damp, drizzle, mud, leaves. Brilliant. Went off with the "slow" group just to be on the safe side, only did 4 miles but at a very reasonable pace for me considering I've spent two weeks on the sofa. Cant wait to get back to normal - and don't have to worry about tonsilitis ruining my training

5.7 mile recovery run after yesterday's fell frolics. beautiful late autumn day, so 'twould've been impolite not to get out. slowish but enjoyable, grassy tracks & trails going out, beach on the return. where every fifth dog & its owner on merseyside seemed to have gravitated

7.45 miles, set out to walk again, but this time in running kit. Concentrated on form and kept the pace very slow, b-with walk-breaks to check how my shin was coping. Sub-12mm on average

Did two, first one was taking the Tourist out for her first run a rather respectable 2.97 miles for a first ever run.
Then I went out on my first run 'proper' since I got floored by the chest infection for the last 10 days. 5 miles done and dusted, chest was not impressed on mile 4, then forgave me for the final bit.

7.02 miles ran/walked the first half and ran the whole of the second half. Furthest I have ever run. Not to mention the sun was shining, the leaves were dry and crisp and crunched when I ran through them, was a lovely day. Really pleased with it as I have had the lurgy all week and as usual the nose never stopped running the whole way round
