10 miles today. Fairly easy, but I'm getting a bit bored having to run the same routes quite frequently. I'll have to plan more different routes before the next marathon.
The good thing about today's run was that it finally takes me past 1000 miles for the year. If I didn't have to take two lay-offs earlier in the year, I would have long since passed that mark.

FR - congrats! I passed the 1000 mile mark on Saturday, nice to know I'm not the only one who looks out for that sort of thing
This evening's run was in a whole universe of better. Same ultra-slow pace, but heart rate even lower - less than 70% so maybe I can gradually up the pace a touch. Whatever it was that was getting me down, I'm on my way back up now Maybe it's because I've finally committed to doing that December marathon...

Well done FR & Katie S. Great training.
Schedule said 6miles Fartlek. So did 6 & a bit miles. 1mile warmup/cooldown then 1min fast, 2 mins slow reps in the middle. The 2 mins slow bits were the best bits!

Some remarkable achievements reported today, congrats FR and Katie on 1000 miles, that's anout a month away still for me. Well done SB, 11.7 today...lools like you got you're groove back.
I ran one of my usual courses today, a mile and a half down into the valley, three miles along the tow path, then a mile and half back out. Recently, I've been running two one mile intervals on the two path porthon of the run. Today, I am very, very happy to report my split times were 6.15 and ....(drum roll please)........ 5.59
That the first time I have been able to break the 6 minute barrier. I am so pleased, as lately I have been questioning why I do all of this running. I needed a lift.
