Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Managed to increase my training run from 11 miles up to 13.5 this afternoon.Did it in 2h 0m 52s, which I`m pleased with as I`ve never run that far before. More confident now for the Great North Run in a couple of weeks.

ran solo with the club tonight

Toinght i went to the club, ( By myself ) i did'nt go out with the elite men and wmoen, as i needed to relax and stretch -after last Sundays gruelling marathon

so i went out with the runners that are new to HM and 10k etc, chatted with them and helped and advised them, it was a perfect evening, they chatted away, i told them when they were being negative etc- they agreed with me

we ran relaxed and put a little spurt in here and there - we were out about an hour - it was real good

it felt real good to help some one else

afterwards i showered - and home now relaxing

early trail & beach run just as dawn was breaking, picking our way round huge pieces of driftwood and, incongruously, a portable radiator and a pair of deck shoes ;)

Pace Judgement session - target av. 8:15/mi actual 9.01 miles av. 8:14/mi, splits as follows;

Mile 1: 8:16
Mile 2: 8:11
Mile 3: 8:20
Mile 4: 8:07
Mile 5: 8:12
Mile 6: 8:15
Mile 7: 8:14
Mile 8: 8:12
Mile 9: 8:11

Not bad, very close to target but found it hard at times to stay within target pace (I kept wanting to speed up).
