Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

5.33 in the gorgeous Edinburgh sunshine - up to Queens Drive and round Arthurs Seat. First time out for 4 weeks due to being totally pissed off with my GSR performance and hectic work schedule. Lovely, lovely, lovely run: feel 100% happier than before I went out and ready now to tackle another busy week!

Has anyone got any advice on tapering? I did 13.5m today and am doing my first ever half marathon in 2 weeks. I missed 2 months of training in March - April and 2 months minimal / no training from mid July to mid September.

Should I taper or do some speed work?

Please FMail any advice!

Well done OB, but don't forget you're tapering. No heroics! Carbo loading and sitting with the feet up and the support stockings rolled double.

Bloody marvellous. First run in almost 2 weeks (not counting a bad 2 miler). First 10k race and it was great. Time was 1.10 but given that I thought I'd have to pull out due to injury I'm well chuffed.
Can't walk now mind......
