Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mixed. Feeling a bit under the weather today. Drunk too much water beforehand trying to get rid of headache by rehydrating and still in need of a good clearout. Foolishly did a tempo run anyway. After 1st mile warmup was running at 7:30 pace, far too fast to maintain, even went up to 6:30 at one point when I saw some work colleagues. Aches in feet to start with, maybe it isn't just those Nikes? Slowed down after half way but trying to stay below 9mm pace. Some twinges in left knee when negotiating the twisty bits around the footpath restrictions and right calf tightening towards end. Finished with a sub 8mm pace last km. Up to 499.3 miles for the year so far.
Feeling better now I am at showered and eating my lunch.

EP and me did our bit by taking part in a MacMillan Cancer Charity Tri-Athlon at the local gym - 1000 metres rowing, followed by 2 miles on the bike, followed by 1 mile on the Treadmill. Too warm in the gym really, and hard work to be sure, but all for Charidee....

Not bad, considering I've run every day for the past week and none of them have been properly "easy" runs.

Today's was. Only 5.2 miles and I kept the effort level just above zero :)

My first proper taper-run.

Great! 2 mile jog, 12x400metres with 50 - 60 rest, 2 miles jog. :-)
