Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm stretching (that's a lie I've not stretched since this morning) and taking drugs off to put more ice on it and lay on my bed and carry on reading about the Bennets (Pride and Prejudice) gagging for a glass of wine but none in the house.......prob just as well really

Oh, erm yes, had a nice run tonight. Did .5 mile intervals with 3min 30 jog in between. Averaged about 7 mins 15 min miling on the efforts. Thought I would be jogging steadily home to cool down after but saw a few people from a local club and ran with them for the last couple of miles home - ended up losing them though cos I was knackered and they are fast! :-)

Mine was cool because I saw an elite-looking Morrocan guy in the park. He was being paced by two other guys and they were all skinny as hell and in very fancy gear. After a while he went on his own and on a single 0.8M lap, with me running at a slow 9:18/mile, he went past me 4 times on a single lap! I wanted to stay and see how long he was doing for but had to go home and eat.

I had an awful run! Only four miles but a lot slower than normal for this particular route! Very frustrating, especially as my last run, on weds morning was slower than usual. As running today with new companion, who is fitter, presumed I would speed up!

I'm hoping that i'm just recovering slower than normal from my nine mile run on monday evening - which is a worry as I'm meant to be doing ten miles tomorrow. Bother bother bother!

Anna, are you getting good slow recovery runs in?

I had a very pleasant slow recovery run this morning. Beautiful morning and the 5 miles felt effortless.

B.B.
I normally take Friday as my one day off, but yesterday's rain meant it was a DNR. So normal route to work this morning, and it was lovely. Beautiful sunshine and nice and cool. Gentle first five miles, then last mile and a half at what felt like half marathon pace.

Anna - days like today are the meat and drink. At least you went out there and got four miles in the log. Beats laying in bed feeling sorry for yourself.

Toks - it's an awesome day - get out in the sun :-)
