I’m not entirely sure what the thing is. Is it a she-wee?

There’s a new craft shop in town, sadly it was closed when I went to visit today, it looks like it has lots of yarn and related items.

It did have the rather lovely knitted nativity in the window though

It could probably do with not being really cold. But I sense a flaw if it’s to be replaced in the warmer after use.

The project notes address that. Placing it back in the warmer stops you getting drips in your pocket/handbag because it soaks up any remaining wee.
