Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Chuffed to bits with this time, and I feel so far off my peak fitness! Fab event today, huge thanks to ElBee and V'rap for the organisation and great hospitality, cakes etc. afterwards!
Will not be pushing too hard as have a league 10k race next day...

So had a nice little run around.
I'm feeling very confident and think I may actually be able to go faster than i've predicted, but we shall see on the day

I was able to go faster than I predicted :-) was on 5:35-5:37 pace until I murdered the last lap, which indicates I could have gone a bit faster. HR also indicates I could have gone a little faster (187) as i've averaged 189 for a 10k. Think 5:15-5:20 might be on by year end :-)
2nd to VRap by just 3 seconds!!!!
Winter purpleland
I ran the whole way :) I did it. I did it. It was hard. But I had a great support crew and lots of people cheering for me :)
really quite happy with that :o) vey pleased :o) *grin*
HR didn't get that high though, and prolly could have kicked sooner..... think quicker is possible :o) :o) :o)
although I did feel really quite rough afterwards!! at least I've stopped coughing!
About right I guess given the amount (and quality) of training done recently. I know I can go a lot quicker than that, so roll on the next West Midlands mile when I can do it justice !
Hoping the man-flu will have cleared up by then *coff, coff, splutter*
Johnny Blaze
A pb - ok the only time I've done a mile but hey....
Raptors Claws are Coming to Town
Wasn't even expecting to crack 8 minutes, so was gobsmacked when I found myself leading the field from the start in the 7mm-8mm race. Worked quite hard. I *will* crack 7 minutes for a freestanding mile sometime :)
