Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[Cuddy, has your womb fallen out yet, or is it something else that falls out in women who row too vigorously?]

(I suppose it can't fall out as she's sitting down to row. It must be her boobs that fall off instead).

Groups of cyclists on narrow tow paths where the first one rings their bell when coming up behind a slower runner, but the second and third - who are a good way behind - don't and it all gets a bit hairy when you think it's safe to step off the verge. Either get the leader to say "more behind" or all use your bells.

[No, no womb fallen out. Maybe she was worried that I have a particularly violent recovery phase of the stroke and my boobs would explode. And yes, it was a she. Didn't bother to tell her I've rowed on the heavy setting for many years and that hasn't happened yet.]

Three hours on the M25 last Friday. Painfully slow-moving between J3-1a and then a complete standstill trying to get off at J28.

Still annoys me thinking about it and no sign of any traffic police traveling on the hard shoulder to try and get it moving.

The nobber I was stuck behind coming down the sliproad to the A14 who wouldn't 'accelerate' to more than 30mph. How feck am I supposed to merge safely on a busy rush-hour dual carriageway (and notorious accident blackspot) at that 'speed'.

And yes, he did deserve the bout of abuse I gave him for it.

People on tv telling me what a fantastic summer it's turned into in Britain. I don't call constant low cloud and max temperatures of 15C fantastic. Britain doesn't end somewhere around Lancaster.

(Admittedly the sun is out today here. This weather will last for about a day. Most days have actually had a sunny spell. Unfortunately it has generally been between 0500 and 0700.)

I think Radio 5 could be expanded to "The whole of the BBC".
