Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Random motorway signs - always with low speed limits - announcing lane closures, queuing traffic or even fog when everything is pretty good.

….and the ones that say (for example) “A*** closed at middle nowhereville” which may be 100 miles hence - give me stuff I need to know now!!

Just all smart motorway signs. The M6 has an accuracy rate of around 30%

It was the M6 on this occasion, but the alleged fog was on the M25.

Getting a review request when said item is barely out of it's packaging!

Or getting a pop up asking you to review a website when you’ve only that second opened up the homepage of the site.

Waiting for Windows updates to complete that require you to wait 5+ minutes whilst shutting down at the end of the day.

Getting that Windows message after logging-in, starting up Outlook, any apps and software.

Worse case scenario is getting another message an hour or so later after restarting the laptop or computer once already.

Websites who force you to lie.

"Sign up." "Download the app." "do a handstand..."

Options available are Yes and Maybe later.

Where's No! gone?

More of the checkouts in the Tesco near work have been replaced with self-service checkouts. There are hardly any staffed checkouts left.
