Later on I was supergearground by the driver of an HGV attempting to reverse off a site onto one of said a-roads (still in fog) without the aid of a "banksman." I like to think I did my bit for road safety and preservation of life by waving the ISO sign for "slow the fuck down, there's a fucking great lorry blocking the road ahead" at oncoming motorists - even the ones with no lights on.
