Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was sitting on a packed bus tonight hoping that someone would close the window that was freezing everyone on board. That is, until a bloke came and sat next to me stinking of cannabis and the cold air blowing down the bus became somewhat of a relief.

I was in the sauna today and a bloke came in and sat down and fiddled with his phone and headphones and then did weird seated dancing (it’s a small enclosed space). That ground my gears so much I left.

Maybe that belongs in the disgusting gym thread? Though it was just rude/weird/annoying rather than disgusting.

In contrast to Fitz’s post I’m currently fed up of getting my retinas burnt off by people who forgot they turned their fog lights on sometime last month. And no, I’m not flashing you because I’m a boy racer wanting to overtake you, I’m trying to tell you to turn the damn things off!

I’m really fed up with how bright modern car headlights and tail lights are.
LED technology may be efficient and more reliable than incandescent lighting, they burn my retinas too.

I'm with you on that ER, the LED traffic lights are pretty dazzling too, you can't see past them.

And the problem with the cycle lights is that whereas the angle setting of a car's lights is part of the MOT to ensure they don't dazzle in proper use, there's no such check on cycle lights, so they're not uncommonly set shining straight into the driver's eyes rather than at the road.
