Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The only 'entertaining' things about Playdough for children are making your own, and then making 'worms' (or sometimes 'hair') by squeezing it through the garlic press.

Still not entirely sure what’s gear grinding about that children’s book.

I used to love Play Doh as a kid, my sister and I spent ages playing with it.

On the dining room table with a cover on, and wearing pinnies.

Try reading it aloud. Tedious page after tedious page. The simplest of actions, nothing else at all. Intended only to engrave the stupid names in the child's mind, not to give any delight in language or demonstration of using it well.

Chris, I'm reading my old books to T at the moment, Paddington gives much opportunity for dramatic reading and good vocabulary :-)

Has been mentioned by others on here before...the use of the word 'hack' when the individual actually means 'tip.'

Sarah-Jane Mee on Sky News this morning - "Here's a hot weather hack for you...."
..and don't start me on Ben Greenfield...
