I'd never want to fully retire, I'd get bored within a couple of days and Mrs P would probably kill me for getting under her feet!
11.24 miles later, a bit of OCD kicking in there as it will ensure I get to exactly 50 miles for the week when you include the 6 tomorrow and 16 on Sunday.

19:14 at parkrun today. Going in the right direction. Perfect conditions, so no excuses. Maybe 18:xx will be sooner than I thought! G

Nice park running.
Happy 5 miles for me today and didn't feel anything of the calf so fingers crossed. Hope to be ready for the next marathon in 4 weeks. Ptb I'll need more than a year for that.

16 miles with 12 @ PMP. All was going swimmingly for 9 miles of the PMP section when I got caught in a biblical downpour and nearly had to start swimming!
I'lll log my run later as I'm in the cinema with Little P about to watch Inside Out but you'll see the last 3 miles were a little off pace as the elements made me lose focus a bit!

Great run G, I knew you still had some speed in there.
I am home from Turkey and instead of slabbering on suncream for my run today I had to don two layers - welcome home, in fact it was raining when I got off the plane last night
15 miles in the bag this morning and I now have 5 weeks training and a 1 week taper to see where that gets me for chester. Parkrun will be a weekly part of my unconventional plan so might see some of you down there.

If you're around 19 mins at the moment Bazo, we can have a wee head to head in the next few weeks at parkrun? I'm hoping to keep improving. I'm doing intervals on the track, no long runs over 13 miles and a half marathon race every 4-6 weeks. I've never done parkruns week in, week out before, but I'm told that can be really beneficial for speed?
It was about 21C out there this morning. I could cheerfully have taken my t-shirt off. Not as warm as Turkey though, perhaps!
Good parkrun progress there Fenners. G

Happy - Not sure where I am after 2 weeks away, but all yearI have been low to mid 19s with one sub 19 in there on a good day, but plan to be there the next few weeks to see what I can do. Look forward to someone to try and push (or pull) a few extra seconds out of me

Ouch... no running for a month, 2 week holiday over-indulging ending with half marathon on the very last day = 1:33 ...and more pain than my last marathon!
Well, that's not exactly a revelation is it? Perhaps the only surprising thing is that I managed to convince myself that I could easily run sub 1:30 on 'muscle memory;
Oh well, it was fun (apart from the DOMS the day after) and at least it got me running again
