Indeed, EY, that's my standard excuse. I once placed first in the M60 category ... because I was the only one who turned up by a fluke. The M65+ and M70+ were both a country mile ahead and I think the M75+ was slightly ahead. I think some folk just have good genetics. |

Aye, that'd be him, @Ally-C, I've just checked the results. I was quarter of an hour behind. He was in the top half overall. Of course, round here we have multiple age-group WR holder Fiona Mathieson, started in her fifties; and another guy set an age-group WR at a local 10K. |

She ran in a few world and European Champs, as a result of which I have inherited this: |
