Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

First visit to St Andrews today, only taken me until the (belated) fifth anniversary to get there. Record turnout of 328. In fact, 12 of their highest 18 attendances (from 256 events) have been this year (all well over 200). In the first year there were quite a few events will fewer than 50 runners. Quite remarkable for a town with under 20 000 people and no other major settlements nearby (and the nearest both have parkruns).

Possible the most spread out field of any parkrun I have done, making it perhaps quite the model of engagement which Parkrun Towers is aiming for. This despite it being three and a bit laps meaning there are a lot of people lapped, some even twice (I was passed by the leaders at just over thirteen minutes). Being held in a lovely park no doubt helps (with boats and a miniature railway). Possibly the first time (due to the loose stone/gravel course and the dry weather) I have found myself in a dust storm at a parkrun llama.

Good to hear that Aviemore went well :-) Bang on 100.

Dvorak I was trying to remember the St. Andrews course and then you mentioned the railway!! It really is quite a lovely course.

I was back at Livingston parkrun today, cracking day as the sun doesn't often shine in Livingston. Had to go a bit slower as suffering various injuries so I just stopped to take photos on the way round 🌲🌻🌞😆

Good work LG!

More big turnouts yesterday - 500+ in Cheltenham and 400+ in Exeter Riverside. I wasn't at either but knowing them both well I'd say really they are at full capacity now. We need more parkrun venues! Which means money/core teams/locations...easier said than done.

What do people think has caused the sudden rise? Up until 3 weeks ago our record was 262 and we regularly saw fields of 220ish.

The last 3 weeks have been over 300.
