Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Toks, Oh was that you? Sorry, you have to call me on my mobile first and let it ring then call the home phone!!

H, bu99er for her T1. But she came 1st? Cool. Well done both of you.

KB, that's sucks, I shall go and read your blog. Bad races are poo, just poo. Is there nobody around you can blame it on for the hell of it?

Did a PB but feel a bit flat. That ever happened to anyone else? Previous best 47.45 for 10K ran 46.26 today but I feel wth all the training, it might have been 90 secs quicker. Maybe a bit unrealistic.

Big Al, Don't let your gremlin get you - you did well for chuff's sake, you got a PB so don't beat yourself up telling yourself "yes but I could have done better", we all could do better and there's nowt wrong with trying but you DID do better, you PB'd :-)

Max, glad to hear you are feeling better about stuff now, keep up the good work, you'll be fine on the day :-)

Hollywood, brilliant! Well done; that must feel soooo good!

Keefy, same goes for you, stop pushing yourself too much, rest up a bit and enjoy the race :-)

Armand, I just wish I could do 10K in 42:42 :-)

SB, Thanks it was lovely, full of lovely carbs and steak and ale. Plus I had chocolate fudge cake for afters, lovely!

Hey Big Al - fantastic run. Like Ian says, don't beat yerself up about could have been quicker - that comes next time out, or the one after that. 47.45 to 46.26 is a pretty big leap....I should know....you just earned me 81 points on the bet I had on you :). Its official Al - you are a star!

cheers

Hi folks :) Hope you're all doing OK.

I'm shattered! I slashed 2:43 off my 10k PB today and the first 5k of the race was also faster than my current 5k PB - shame I can't put that down as an event in itself!

I want my bed...
