Hard work! Cold wind and icy showers. Itβs done though, and the mileage is creeping up prior to going to race in Cyprus.

Had to come and talk about today's run, it was my first with my new running buggy, taking my 1 year old out with me. We did a gentle 5k around the roads and all went well! It's great fun hearing him babble away and sound like he's enjoying it!

I had a lovely one - waffled at my girlfriend for an hour or so doing a 10K round my home town. "Ah, I've not been in this pub for nearly 30 years" was a common phrase.

That's a nice buggy run, ptr_rnr. I'm glad your wee man likes coming along for the run. Amazing speed, Gobi, well done! Running hard feels hard I guess? (if that's the misery you're referring to) I had a confidence building long run. I ran 16 and change with 13.1 at MP - 1:45:40 for that so very close to target pace for a 3:30 marathon. It felt very comfortable and HR was where it should be. I still have 8 weeks until race day and I'm very pleased that I can run half the distance at race pace and feel like I could have run another 5-6 miles no problem. |
