Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Brilliant pb, Toks!

Thanks, Jovi,
That's exactly the kind of advice I needed! I will plan to do it, but if the day comes and I dont' feel up to it, I can always drop out into the 10k. (I have to decide before we begin though, as there are different starting points; same end point).

I feel ok today. Yes, my legs are a little stiff but not enormously so. all joints feel fine which is the main thing. I did try to run slow yesterday and will not have a time in mind for the race. (except I obviously DO have a time in mind LOL! Hoping for 2 hours as my 10k pb is 50.31). Tempted not to wear the watch... what do you think? (It is only a stopwatch from our dollarama equivalent.)

A nice little jog round the local fields to loosen the legs up from the weekends efforts. with the dog and we met two herd of cattle, one lot scared, one lot nosey. Dog did what I wanted her to - lead the cattle off so that I could run on. Slow pace, v low HR. nice. :-)

Recovery 4-miler. Legs felt undamaged but not lively. I think that's the big difference between a half and full marathon. With the full you get glycogen depletion and significant muscle trauma, with a half it's only glycogen depletion.

Ran 4.27 k - I'm trying to work up to 5k being my normal length, not just a special weekend run! The weather is both humid and drizzling and the pollen is high so I was a bit slower than I'd have liked but it was nice enough.
