One of the most brilliant runs of my life! I arrived in Nuuk last night and this morning took off down to the new (only) suburb (the other side of Atlantic harbour for anyone who knows) and then round the airport and back to my apartment. Probably 12-13k, loads and loads of tough hills but glorious. Cold (c -5C), very still, dry and now sitting in the cultural centre after scoffing a massive brunch buffet and too full to manage to get up from the table yet. I even popped into the swimming pool for the times and found an assistant who can speak Icelandic (which is very helpful since I can speak neither Greenlandic nor Danish).
It's beautiful here; everywhere you look there is a fjörd and an iceberg with a mountain or island in the background. I love these little "work" trips which, as a working mum, are the closest to a holiday I get. Bliss to have noone's schedule but my own to follow. Now for a little more coffee and to sit here until all the sausage and bacon becomes a little better absorbed.

A bit muggy but very pleasant, really. 10k trail round the Essex countryside. So nice that the mud has dried up at last.

Shuffly. Shouldn't've, really, on these legs, but the sun was shining and I had an hour that could be used for the purpose

4 miles recovery run early doors, then 3+ miles tempo with the Juniors, it's what is advised in every running book the day after a marathon
