Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Finally outside :-) No ice at last for 5 days. Downside was it was really windy and drizzly ........... but it was so much better not to be stuck on the treadmill again :-) Does anyone else find that if they do a lot of consecutive treadmill runs they seem to ache?

I find it hard to get motivated when all I see outside is cold and drizzle.

Anyone else have trouble with a lack of motivation?

I struggle with motivation really badly in winter - I am not a winter person at all. It's the cold I hate, I'd rather be too hot than too cold.

I really don't mind the cold at all, prefer it to the heat :-0 it is the darkness the grayness that is not motivating after weeks and weeks of it but I run during the darkness anyway, but I dud find February this year really terrible for running :-(

I agree, I prefer the cold to the heat (not at the start of the run though!)

I'm looking forward to the longer, lighter days. In terms of conditions which I dislike: I enjoy snow and rain, I don't mind cold and hot, I can't stand heavy winds.

I will go out whatever the conditions are though - the harder the conditions, the better I feel after the run.
