Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

12.2 on the bleep test. Not very exciting, running up and down the same 20 metre strip in sail loft gym...

7.15 miles @ 7:17 pace

Positive splits - but was running in the dark for the last few miles with my headlight not functioning!

Quick 3 mile run at lunchtime. Perfect running weather today: cold, crisp and sunny.

With only four miles to go to gain my very first 100 mile month, I headed out onto the Pentlands in the moonlight. Beautifully clear and still with the lights of Edinburgh down below. Coming back down a steep gravel track I took a dive (at exactly 4 miles according to the watch), lost skin on my palms, elbow and knees and had to curl up in the foetal position for a few minutes. Hobbled back the last mile or so while blood dripped off my elbow. My knees have taken a battering so that could be the last 100 miler for a while.

Well done anyway Jimmy56. I only had to do a few miles to make the 100. but it was a bit of mind over matter, I really didn't want to do it, not in the mood, long shift last night. but the dog needed to stretch her legs, and kept looking at me with the reproachful eyes about going for a run. So we did.

Set the alarm for 6.30, running by 7. Cracking run up and down an unmade road through cloud forest. Mist rolling in, the occasional clear view of Lakes and mountains in the distance. 10k of sharp ascent and descent, soaking wet, mud splattered, legs mashed....LOVED IT!!!

Opportunistic, because the computer system at work had gone down and I couldn't do anything apart from helping to decorate the Christmas tree. But less accidental than my last two runs, because although I was otherwise in civvies I put on running shoes.

Really really good. Was putting it off a bit. Was going to just go for 3 easy. Half a mile into that decided to do 6 miler- started off as tempo, but turned into a progression run!

Planned to do 10, decided to cut back to 6. After the first half mile I was loving it, so upped it to 8 miles. By the time I got to 8 miles and almost home, I was having such a great time, I carried on to 10. Furthest I've ever run without gels or water. No music either. I think wearing my lovely Canadian running jacket made it easier, didn't feel cold at all.
