Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

9.25 miles @ 7:07 pace

Took an 8 minute opening mile to get into the run. I'm more happy with the fact that I had converted my negative and downhearted approach to the run to a much more positive frame of mind.

Slightly over a half marathon in 1h34:40. Ran around 6:35 pace for mile 9 or 10 as I turned the corner, spotted a female runner and wanted to look good. Another was a few 100m away going in my direction so comfortably passed her and took the hill without slowing. Then spotted another nearly half a mile up the road so maintained pace and passed her too. Felt really good running faster than usual - felt light footed due to the reduced number of foot falls :)

Mixed my route up as well. Ran along some grass verges next to 60mph road to get to the next village, Holton-Le-Clay, through that, along another 60mph road with a few blind bends and no verges for a lot of it (only half a dozen cars luckily) and then back into Waltham and around some of my usual running routes.

Boring last 3 miles running around the hospital a couple of times and where I live just to make up the distance (left shoelace was just holding on as well but wasn't going to stop for that or the fact my bladder decided I needed a toilet trip 5s after I started!)

Very slow long run 14m. Good to get some miles back in the bank, so generally pleased: the pace can be picked up later.

13 and a half miles exploring (and planting flowers.;-)). It felt sluggish and heavy-legged and hard work but the stats show a reasonable pace and an easy HR. Maybe I'm just being a wuss.

5.11 miles @ 7:09 pace - Bit quicker than what I wanted, so a steady 4 mile (untimed) tomorrow I think. :)

Really good. 11M steady- target 7:51-8:11. First half into the wind and maintained 7:50 then turned out of wind and brought average down to 7:44. Actually felt steady too, rather that hard.

5.2 miles - Not good, I didn't time it but I know it was slow.

It was a hilly cross country route with countless amount of gates and stiles which put you out of your rhythm. I felt like giving up, and then I got a cut right oln the back of my foot with 1.5 miles to go.

The pain was increasing (like the gradient of the hill). Awful. A poor run.
