Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Week 2/9 of 35+ miles completed.

3.75 miles @ 6:56 pace - 7:00, 7:03, 6:53, 6:56

I calculated my leg turnover to be 165 / minute - coach really wants 180 - 185 / minute, but I felt much more efficient, and was rather pleased as the run rounded off another good week. :-)

11.5 miles recce run for the last stage of RNR with Nigjtjar and A. To say we got a bit wet is a bit of an understatement!! I don't think I've ever been so soaked on a run before. Glad I did it. Got the turns sorted in my head now, especially the last bit through Kings Lynn.Pace was easy and legs felt fine. Ham egg and chips in the pub after. :-)

10 miles @ 6:56 pace

An opening mile of 7:57 loosened me up, and prepared me for a sharp increase of pace; in fact all 9 other miles were under my average pace!

Really rolling up the hills, and felt very efficient; however my coach would like to improve my downhill posture and footplant.

A good run for me today. :)

My last long run before my HM next week. 11 miles this morning, weather was perfect & felt good all the way, even managed a "sprint" finish!!!

Looking for a PB next week, fingers crossed :)

5 miles @ 7:10 pace

Splits were much more consistent today. I really wanted too focus on my head positioning; my head remained fixed with my eyes looking 10 metres ahead throughout the run.

Downhill posture felt better but still a bit of work to do.

Overall, I felt strong and I seemed to had just flowed into the next step. Back to work with the downhill technique tomorrow though!

Alright but a bit slow. I think I'm starting to feel the accumulated mileage of the last few weeks. Not massive but plenty for my old legs.

Todays run was a bit of a cracker, on a familiar route, then off it for a bit. Was meant to meet up with a few people but got caught out by flat tyre an no fuel in the other car, so ended up a sad (not) and lonely (not) runner on the stiperstones, mint :-)

9 miles of wetness and sore bum from yesterdays hamstring curls - I am not a fan of rain.
