Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

20 hot, sweaty miles on legs that were so stiff I couldn't walk properly when I got up this morning. Loved it though, I love running in the sun and heat :)

Intended to do at least 15 miles but from the off it was warm with the wind being warm and just didn't have it in me.
Will get up earlier tomorrow and hit the coast where it should be cooler - at least that way I'm a good 6-7 miles from home minimum so will have to run it to get home again :)
48 miles for the week so not too bad. Less than the 52-54 I've been doing as marathon prep although not enough long runs to be honest.

5 miles on the treadmill....only because I'm now in the lake district where running on the roads isn't the smartest of ideas

15 miles and too humid. Sweating too much and very hard going. Last 5 miles dragged like hell and felt like I was there as well!
Still, lovely ice cold choccy shake when I got in and 4 other runners out about including one rather fine young lady :)

Do like Sunday runs along Cleethorpes seafront and past the boating lake where todays rather a lot of geese were staring at me probably thinking "come any nearer and it's chomping time!"

5 miles @ 7:27 - Splits were too inconsistent today, but could put it down to the 9 mile yesterday and the heat..

Anyway, I have learnt to take the first mile always easier and build into the run.

14 and a bit in the blistering Essex heat. Enjoyed it all except the last couple of miles when my legs actually melted.

10 and a bit miles in the merciless Essex heat (always wanted to write that line). A bit slow and sweaty, but OK, really.
