Totally awesome doesn't do it justice. 8miles or so in warm sunshine over local hills and moorland, with skylark, curlew and meadow pipits for company. I just got down to the bottom road and passed a family who I'd seen near the top of the biggest hill and their son said, Hey, that's that man we saw earlier. How's he got up there and back so soon? :-):-)

10 comfortable miles just now.
Lovely and cold - strange considering it was warmish yesterday and plenty of fog in the evening that was gone this morning. Couple of icy patches and all the car windscreens are frozen. 3 other runners out and about.
Also, half the number of cars on the road compared to the 2 foggy days last week and their speeds have dropped as well. The conclusion to be drawn from that is: The worse the weather and visibility, the faster you go regardless of whether you need to be anywhere in the first place. i.e If you don't need to go anywhere and the weather isn't good, it is obligatory that you go for a drive just to fill the roads up. The faster you go, the less time you spend driving in those conditions and this is obviously far safer.
Finally, are most dogs deaf? I run along the footpath towards a dog and it's owner, with them walking away from me. You would think the dog with it's great hearing and sense of smell would be aware of someone running up from behind, but no. Half of them are so taken aback by the shock of someone running, they half jump out of their skins!
