Thanks for hugs chaps and chapesses. Am going to use my cross trainer on Tuesday for a change. Have done a record 17 miles this week. Perhaps that's why today's effort was such rubbish.

I've had a stiif left ankle for the last few days so approached my run today with some trepidation.
Did 9 miles cross-country in 1:30 and felt good at the end. Even sprinted a bit in last 200 yards!
Held open a gate for a nice horse riding lady, and someone in my path on his mobile said to his mate on the phone "Hang on, just letting a runner pass". And i thought I was a plodder....

Ardderchog/brill - furthest I think I have ever run. 14 miles in 1h33m40s, with ave h/r 159 (78%max whr). Last mile and half home climbing from valley floor to about 460feet was a bit of a struggle, but not as bad as I thought it might be.

I did about 6 miles. This has been my get-back-into-it week so next week I'll be more impressive. I can feel the weight coming on already.

Did kind of a Fartlek session today. 2 miles fast then a mile at 10min mile pace. Then did 15 min along the beach in deep shingle. 5 short hill sprints with 20 second breather in between. Then twelve 30 sec intervals with 30 sec slow run recovery in between. And to finish off a fast run up long incline for 3 min. Then slow jog home. Felt OK the running in the deep shingle is hard but I can't think of another way to get prepared for "The Hellrunner".
Sorry just realised that was rather a long winded answer to "How was your run" in short, it was fine thanks
