(((Riga))), sad to say goodbye to people but part of life I'm afraid ...
Nice training session, just make sure you don't over do the intervals. They are brilliant but you need to have a good base otherwise you can injure yourself...
(((LL))) - not nice that...

well i just played around to find a distance that i could maintain my chosen speed (7.5 mph) and settled on 0.15 miles
unfortunately i was concentrating more on what was going on in the gym and on my ipod and lost count of the number of repetitions!! probably about 10 though
i know i need to do more long runs but always seem to be away at the weekends, and get bored on the treadmill!!!

Excellent session this morning.
12 x 450m, averaging around 1:38 per rep. Fastest rep was 1:34, which is 5:36 minutes per mile pace. I know it's not super fast for reps around the 400m length, but as my legs were still very tired before the start of the session, I wasn't expecting to go very fast. In fact, I was surprised when I was in front of the guy I am most competitive with for the first 2 reps, and not far behind for the next 6, before falling back a bit for the last 4. I thought he must have been going slow today, as I felt as if I was actually going slow, but no, it was a reasonable pace.

FR I think that's fast! ( its all relative isnt it) really chuffed as I have just managed 2 miles in 14min. 50 - with a gentle jog either side. sounds quite pathetic really but it was hard work, honest!

RT, it is all relative, and we should all be very pleased with whatever time is good for us and seeing a steady improvement.
I've just checked the distance of the reps using Google Earth, and it was in fact at least 260m, not 250m. That means that my fastest rep was at 5:28 pace. It didn't feel that fast, especially as most of the time I was behind this other guy, but before Abingdon marathon, he was leaving me trailing by a long way, so it seems like I must be improving.
