Not good. Treadmill sesion to measure VO2MAX & lactic threshold. MAX is up 2 to 68, lactic acid threshold is down - not sure from what to waht as I was feeling like a jelly at that stage. Was amazed VO2MAx was up as I di awful at the track session (coopers run test) 2 days prior - even worse than 10 weeks ago when a stich finished me off.

very very wet! I ran for 4.5 miles then met up with some friends for 3+ miles, soaked through though, then had to meet up with a Dr who had his trousers stolen along with his keys to his flat, quick change into something decent first though:-) met him with a spare set of keys and gave him a lift home!

IAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats an impressive V02 max Kieran and way above mine which I have calculated from race results. I had a hill session tonight and persuaded Lorraine to join me. With the run in and out etc it covered over 8 miles with 18 hill reps in total. AWESOME |

There seems to be a discrepancy between VO2 max from Cooper's test and race results on this site: brianmac.demon.co.uk & brianmac.demon.co.uk The Cooper's test is based on the distance covered in 12 minutes. So, for example, 3k run in 12 minutes gives VO2 max of 55.78 for Cooper's test, but a race of 3k covered in 12 minutes gives VO2 max of 47.85. I always use the race calculated VO2 max values - perhaps I should use the Cooper's test values. |
